About this

‘Naomhóga Chorcaí’ is a visual poem that, in subtle lyrical ways, highlights and contrasts the cultural reach of local indigenous craftsmanship in an age of predatory capitalism. ‘It is a film that reflects the passion of two people concerned with the preservation and protection of Culture, of Craftsmanship.’ This film was an Award Winner at the Canada and Houston International Film Festivals 2019, and an Official Selection at Fasnet and Motion Pictures International Film Festival 2019. Produced by multi-award documentary filmmaker Stephen H Bean. Part of the Belfast – Cork Partnership

Ní scannán eitneaghrafaíoch 'Naomhóga Chorcaí' ach is dán físiúil é, a chuireann béim ar agus a dhéanann codarsnacht idir freastal cultúrtha na ceardaíochta áitiúla dúchasaí ar bhealaí liriciúla caolchúiseacha in aois an chaipitleachais chreiche. ‘It is a film that reflects the passion of two people concerned with the preservation and protection of Culture, of Craftsmanship.’

Bhain an scannán seo duais i bhFéilte Scannán Idirnáisiúnta Cheanada agus Houston in 2019, agus ba Roghnú Oifigiúil é i bhFéile Scannán Idirnáisiúnta Fasnet agus Motion Pictures in 2019. Arna léiriú ag an déantóir scannán Stephen H Bean a bhfuil ilduaiseanna buaite aige. Mar chuid de Pháirtíocht Bhéal Feirste – Chorcaí
