Widely recognised as Belfast's St Patrick's Day curtain raiser, the SPAR Craic 10k race is going global in 2021 with runners from across the world invited to take part in the virtual event. This year will also see the introduction of a SPAR Craic 5k and 1k, giving as many runners as possible a chance to get our national day of celebration off to a healthy start.

This year’s event will also include a St Patrick’s Day 90 minute live celebration from the NIAVAC studio in Belfast to a global audience, starting at 2pm. This live programme will show the very best of Belfast with live traditional music. We will Zoom in those who have completed the virtual run in their neck of the woods and link up with the Sober St Patrick’s movement in US to emphasise the culture, music, literature and community-building values of the day.

Mar go mbeidh rás 10c Craic SPAR seo á chraoladh ar fud an domhain in 2021, beidh cuireadh á thabhairt do reathaithe ó fud fad an domhain páirt a ghlacadh san imeacht fhíorúil seo, a aithnítear go forleathan mar an t-imeacht a chuireann tús le Lá Fhéile Pádraig i mBéal Feirste. Beidh 5c agus 1c Craic SPAR ann i mbliana, a thabharfaidh deis dá mhéad reathaithe agus is féidir tús sláintiúil a chur le ceiliúradh ár lae náisiúnta.

In imeacht na bliana seo beidh ceiliúradh beo 90 nóiméad ar Lá Fhéile Pádraig ó stiúideo NIAVAC i mBéal Feirste, a chraolfar ar fud an domhain. Beidh sé ag toiseacht ar 2i.n. Léireoidh an clár beo seo scoth an cheoil thraidisiúnta bheo i mBéal Feirste. Déanfaidh muid Zúmáil isteach orthu sin a mbeidh an rith fhíorúil déanta acu ina gceantair féin agus déanfaidh muid nasc le gluaiseacht Lá Fhéile Pádraig Sóbráilte sna SA chun béim a chur ar chultúr, cheol, litríocht agus luachanna forbartha pobail an lae inniu.
